Week of April 2nd
This week we will focus on Holy Week. On Monday, we will make paper plate Easter Bunnies. We will use this activity to talk about how great the Easter Bunny is but also how he is NOT the main person of Easter. We will again share our Easter story and talk about the love of God to send his only Son. On Wednesday, we will paint crosses to remind us of Jesus' sacrafice. We will open the last of our our Resurrections eggs this week to reveal the wonderful surprise in our last egg - NOTHING! The egg is empty to remind us that the tomb was empty on Easter morning.
We will begin working with the April calendar and weather and a new April pattern. Our color, number and shape review will continue.
Prayers: The Our Father, Sign of the Cross, Hail Mary

Week of April 9th
There is no school on Monday, April 9th due to Easter Vacation. We will return to school on Wednesday, April 11th.
We will continue talking about the wonderful story of Easter. We will make empty tombs to help remind us that Jesus rose from the dead. I am sure the kids will want to go through our Resurrection Eggs one more time.
We will continue working on our Noah's ark songs - we will share these with you at our end of the year program!
Our morning carpet time is filled with counting and sorting and reviewing. We are always looking at our calendar and weather. And these kids are awesome with our ABAB pattern.
We will start to go out more now that the weather is nicer (I hope it will stay that way). Please sent a jacket everyday. It can still be a little windy and chilly on the playground at 9:30 in the morning!

Songs of the week: We're all Aboard; He's got the Whole World on His Ark; Who built the ark; Rain, rain, go away
Week of April 16th
We will focus on our Noah's Ark story once again now that Easter is over! This week we will learn about the 40 days and 40 nights. We will be making rain clouds and painting rain on ark pictures. This is a fun project because we use bubble wrap to paint!!
We ave a new April calendar and pattern. Our calendar song helps us learn the days of the week. We review numbers, colors and shapes daily. We are working hard on everyone paying attention during this important learning and review period.
